Behind the Veil

This piece explores imagery and themes dealing with the afterlife. Things that we can’t see, but wonder about. Will anything happen? Will it be beautiful, awful, or empty? Butterflies are used here because of their symbolism regarding transformation. Skulls are also depicted, alongside angels and seedpods (seedpods symbolizing life after death). An amethyst crystal is placed in the center, this crystal is believed to protect and purify from negative attachments.
