Meditation and Protection
6” x 8”
This shrine is designed to give the feel of being able to withdraw into a grotto. The backdrop is from a photo I took at the Chinese Gardens in Portland, Oregon. The Buddha is from a vintage postcard sent from Vietnam. A Tibetan prayer wheel amulet is situated at the front right, and has a blessing inscribed on a scroll inside. Clear quartz and rough turquoise crystals are included for the protection properties. A textured seashell compliments the stone texture of the walls around the waterfall. I used moss instead of flowers in this shrine, because moss grows out of the cracks in the waterfall, and I wanted to draw attention to that.
