Anubis escorts the souls of the departed to the Underworld. The Nile Goddess’ uplifted curved arms symbolize the release of the soul to the heavens. Angels are seen as companions, protectors, and conductors to the afterlife. Seed pods appear to be dormant, yet hold the promise of re-birth.
