This shrine explores themes of structure, delicacy, strength, and the unseen. Often associated with death and decay, skeletons can actually teach us that although it is hidden from view, the bones that give us strength and form have a beauty and power of their own. Animals, trees, flowers…I found this x-ray image of a daffodil inspiring. I opted to put a view of the shrine prior to adding the High Priestess, so that the intricacy of the image could be better appreciated. How often do our judgements on what is seen keep us from actually learning answers to deeper mysteries?
