I have included the image of the Buddha in this shrine of St Francis Both Siddhartha and Francis share similar stories. They were both born into wealthy families, and as young men, witnessing the suffering around them, stepped away from their entitled lifestyles to search for enlightenment, subsequently choosing lives of service.
