Tears of Compassion (SOLD)

The Christian Madonna Mary and Buddhism’s Green Tara both represent divine compassion. The broken arms that extend outward towards the viewer symbolize that no matter how broken we may be, we can find refuge through them. The crystals hanging from the bottom of the shrine represent tears of empathy. Pink opal, which is tucked behind the roses on the Madonna’s left, are thought to have properties that aid in healing emotional pain and trauma, and promotes forgiveness and compromise. Lepidolite and aquamarine are the crystals on the Madonna’s right. Lepidolite is known as “the peace stone;” its calming and soothing properties bring about a sense of calm and happiness.
