This shrine explores the similarity between the stories of St. Francis of Assisi and Siddhartha. Both young men were born into lives of privilege and prosperity, yet they both forsook this lifestyle for one of poverty and meditation. The Hermit tarot card symbolizes the need to remove oneself from society in order to follow this path.
